in the mist of this moonlit night
i trudge through these forbidden lands
on the back of my unfailing mare
we convey the maiden deceased
rest now on the shrine of worship
what must i do to revive?

destroy the idols that line the shrine walls
a price heavy to slay these beasts
cast the ancient blade into the pale sky
illuminate paths to colossi released
i traverse to leviathan lairs
scattered across the terrain
scale the flesh of the brutes towering
piercing sigils in their manes

blood flows black from the wounds festering
soaking the soils with hate
tendrils emerge from cadavers now slain
embedding a perilous fate

return to temples of the shadow god
phantoms lurk in numbers myriad
effigies befall gargantua
veins pulse with blood of stygian
voices guide me to the void
my flesh corrupted and destroyed
strengthened by forces unknown
reign’s chaos has bestowed
traversing through the mire lands
beasts crawl below the shifting sands
into the depths the serpent dwells
surging the discharge of death knell
eyes burning with abhorrent flame
slaughtering all till none remains
in pale skies mounting the beast
burning the wounds of the deceased
by the horizon
rise above titans
a quest fatal, yet this burden belongs only to me

lord emon marches into the sanctum
to revoke my desperate pursuits
in fear of possession consuming my soul
it’s far too late, dormin has claimed his toll

encased in shadow
tainted seeds now sown
to darkness succumb
demon i’ve become
new life granted still
to the maiden fell

resurrected from a vortex blinding
a h-rn adorned child breathes still
out of suffering and perseverance
life goes on still in the forbidden lands
