we almost cancelled the show
um, i straight up got too excited and just blew my voicе out in rehearsal
and just didn’t–

but, no, i, i, we gathered up strength
lil rod gave me the strength and told me to carry on
make sure things happen, you know what i mean?
so i’m glad we’re doin’ this
and it kinda put things into a weird perspective
if you sit back and just really, really think about
the sh-t you’re going through and the sh-t you’re afraid of
and the, the, the magnitude of it
it’s only as great as it is to you
because everybody else around me wasn’t worried at all
and i’m like, “dude, i’m about to end my whole career in front of, like, a hundred-and-somethin’ people
because i’m not gon’ be able to sing sh-t when we get there and
i’ma be mad”
but when you think about other sh-t that’s goin’ on in the world
it makes it seem like all your problems is just like a stubbed toe
it’s like, and then you gotta think about
“did you have a bad day or did you have a bad five minutes that you f-ckin’ talked about all day?”
then you followin’ your friends around, f-ckin’ takin’ them down
“and let me tell you what else this motherf-cker did”
“then, i told the b-tch i wanted it in all quarters, and then”
like, no, don’t, don’t bring your friends down, jesus christ
but make sure everybody’s up
and make sure you put things into perspective and make sure you know that
it’s just, you know, dust in the f-cking wind
i don’t mean to sound cliché, but we are
that’s just what it is
uh, it’s good to sit back and be able to look at yourself and say
“you know what? that’s life”
