it all began when mike asked me to remix
one of the super extra bonus party tracks

taking me home now

i was excited
three weeks later i got the master recordings from co
initially, i did what i always do and i make a remix
make new sounds from those provided
add spice

but, falling into familiar territory
my mix failed to excite me
i couldn’t get out of bed
i feared having to work on it
it was so close to being finished
a standard remix
but for me this was not good enough
besides, this mix was due to a peer alongsidе mixes
by my peers on the irish music scenе
so i wanted mine to cut it
mike dropped over on sunday during halftime

i don’t follow the football myself but he does
anyway he said he’d be back around
for the finished mix on friday
after i hassle him to give me a definite deadline
two days ago i decided to scr-p that mix
f-ck it, chew it up
do it again in another program
it was going okay until i realized i didn’t have enough time
to produce another full tune
i reckoned that everybody else
was going to do the standard fare
