[intro] christocentric, goodness and mercy, first verse…

[verse 1] ayy, he paid the price i’m forever a debtor (no doubt), i’m talking christ, he’s our rock and our treasure (let ’em know). comparisons to him? man you know that he’s better (yessir), the almighty king over nature and weather, yeah (c’mon). it’s interesting that whether or not we wanna claim him (uh), he’s still merciful to unbelievers, heathens, pagans (amen). goes without saying thе i am is truly gracious (indeed), longsuffering, extendеd to the most audacious (true). the pride of man comes before a swift ending (it does), can’t fake it till you make it, better stop that pretending. take off the fig leaves, them things went out of style (they did), put the coats of skin on, and be set free from guile (wow). from the beginning god has shown himself as merciful (mhm), nothing superfluous, everything is purposeful (nope). notices us, though he possesses universal rule (yup), sent himself down in the person of his son to purchase you

[bridge] sent himself down in the person of his son to purchase you, coming up next…

[verse 2] ayy i’m curious about the kurios, how an almighty god would be subjected to the cross. (how?) to clean and purge sinners filth like floss, and to burn off our dirt, rubbish, trash, and dross (crazy). be thou bethlehem-ephrathah, you may be minor, but the one who’s perfecting ya (messiah) will, come out of this town though small and insignificant, his goings forth have been from everlasting, infinite (tell ’em). so put your confidence in him if you’re diffident, some may be religious but not chrisitian, the difference? (what is it?) one comes down to your mere emotion, while the other one is diligent sincere devotion (ah). truly having a relationship that’s real, trusting the one that walked through the pieces, and sealed the deal (who you talkin’ bout?). i’m talking about christ obviously, the one who freed us from sin, and met our most obvious need, yeah

[bridge] talking about christ obviously, met our most obvious need…

[verse 3] ayy, as i wrap up on this lyrical journey, i must reflect on our topic, which is goodness and mercy. the fact that he would see our souls as worthy, and sn-tch us out of a world that’s so topsy-turvy. the lord is my light and my salvation whom shall i fear? (who?) he’ll never leave us nor forsake cause he’s always near (always). during the trials of this life trust him to appear (trust him), draw close to him, as he draws close to you with open ear (that’s right). brought to conformity and righteousness, as jesus brought us to himself, saved from christlessness (safe). priceless is this gift, to both the jew and greek, but please don’t keep this in your heart, when it’s time to speak (please don’t). the final day his goodness we will gladly see, in the air changed in a moment with him we’ll be (can’t wait). with great delight, our hearts filled with glee, we can be confident in this, cause he was meek

[bridge] confident in this cause he was meek, with great delight hearts filled with glee…

[outro] christocentric, goodness and mercy man, reflect on that!
