letra de dreaming spire - runeshard
heavy footfalls echo amidst the hollow p-ssages
troubled, yet firm steps gracing the emptiness
in the fl!ckering light of a torch
a hooded silhouette traverses these halls
myriad of ebon steps await him
to ascend this gnarled spire
croaking under the weight of grim tidings
scaling unwavering to warn his master
awake
take flight
on ebon wings you’ll fly
flee from the dreaming spire
stormclouds gather in the east
heralding your doom
from the freezing mist they emerge
with crimson banners and
spears agleam in the pale moonlight
“your majesty! lord of the everlasting sky!”
the dragonlord lies still atop his obsidian throne
while the freezing cold bites deep, down to their bones
the march of the crimson legion
rouses these desolate lands
even the blue ice beneath
the ash groans in pain in the distance
fl!ckering pale blue ghostly flames lit anew
in the cast-iron braziers of this barren hall
the will of the dragonlord breaks free from its icy haze
his dreary eyes reflecting the lights still radiating grace
for the glory of my ice-bound kingdom
i stand guard once more
the barbarian hordes sweep across the land
marching towards the dreaming spire
the mountains echo the chants of war
while the horizon glares with fire
bodies of grim warriors litter the plain
white snow painted with pools of crimson stain
a lifeless body, a gargantuan beast
lying still amidst the corpses of the slain
and
the legend of the dreaming spire shall
be encased in the ice, forever
