um, walk me through a typical session on fl studio

so, open it up, right?
i have an idea, i’m like “oh this is like the greatest idea i’ve ever had”, this sounds like, amazing in my head, i’m gonna do this
and then i start doing it, and i realize, like, i have no frickin’ clue what i’m doing, this isn’t, like, perfect
i change one little thing, and it like, explodes into-death
this is the worst thing i’ve ever made in my life
and then i just stop
it-it repeats, a lot. those ideas, i like to think that it doesn’t completely go away
the lack of knowledge i have of certain terms, and certain basic fundamentals of music theory—it contributes to how little i am able to push myself to do, because it’s so much easier to sound design when you’re not actually sound designing
i would be making stuff for monkey ep and it’s like, “rani’s part sounds really interesting, so i gotta make something fitting so that it flows and has consistent quality.” and when that didn’t happen, it made it feel like i was falling short, because i wasn’t-like, i’m not as experienced as you
do-, i had enjoyed a couple sketches that i made, and then going back on them a couple months later it’s like “wow, i really hate this.”
it’s like, looking back on those, it’s kinda like, “why- why did this not go how i planned? why did i think it was good back then, and now it sucks?”
um, and when things don’t go my way- when i don’t get it right, it just- explodes my, um, confidence as a- um, producer
