alb-m name explanation
we came up with this on sunday, june 11th, 2017 and was inspired by denzel curry’s “32 zel / planet shrooms” ep. the first half of the alb-m is “darkened” and has much more dark production and songs. “lights” is the more bright half of the alb-m with lighter production and crazier everything

this picture was taken on june 10, 2017, taken by me. the photo was edited first by ben, then re-edited with the help of reddit user /u/jaotis. so bless those two. starting off the alb-m cover is the shed is that we all hang out in. it’s a hangout spot for us and countless memories have been made here for us three as friends. the purple / pink hazy filter over it shows the trippy and acid-induced nature of the alb-m’s production. the theodore cardboard cutout may seem absurd but it has meaning too. it’s been there with ben for the longest time but we drew the eyes with a red marker to make him appear stoned. the dark eyes theodore has are symbolic of us as human beings – no matter how positive you try to appear on the outside, there’s always a dark side of you that is hidden in you deep down, whether you like it or not. the sun rays coming in from the window were the aesthetic of that morning; which show that even in the dark times there’s always still light

however, just because i gave an explanation to the alb-m cover doesn’t mean that’s the only meaning behind it. develop a meaning of the alb-m cover for yourself, take away something from the alb-m that can change your views on things

it’s our first project ever, and i as a person couldn’t be any more happy about this. this project means a lot to me and holds a lot of meaning to me personally, even if nothing comes of it. i’m confident it will become something though. — jake martinez
