who counts how many times they blink
is it the homeless people in the streets

is it the hopeless millennials with no jobs
or all these old folks scooping pensions
is it the healthiest man in babylon
or all these dying hospital patients
to whom is time more valuable to

as well as churchgoers
drunkards and weed smokers

an importance of time won’t only be beared in mind
by a learner who have just failed a grade
or a father of a family
who is behind bars sentenced for 6 years
or a woman who is expecting
and she’s only 4 months pregnant
this is an encyclopedia of life
to all my people who are blinking
all my people who are kicking
still having hope believing that at last life will be simple
goals will be achieved beyond comparison

so stop
overthinking about being left behind
you are an author of your life
