and then as time has gone by, i’ve realized, like, why, why?
like, is that even fun? that’s not even
and you know, it’s so subjective that it’s like who, you know
i think kendrick lamar might be the best rapper ever, but like, there’s always gonna be that debate
uh, mickey factz recently shed some light and was talkin’ ’bout, like “i don’t wanna be the best”, ’cause like, what does that get you?
and like, no one can ever be the best anyway, ’cause like until, like, the world ends, like, there’s always gonna be new rappers, always gonna be a new debate
so it’s like, what are we really doin’? like, why?
cool, you’re the best, now what? eheh, you know what i’m sayin’?
you can be the best rapper, uh, but do you make great music?
do you have fans? um, so, you know
rap should be fun has helped to see that, like, yo
i can feel how i feel about my rapping ability
but i don’t care about being the best anymore
i care about having the most fun, being the best version of me
being mitch darrell, uh, you know, just being authentically myself
collaborating with other artists and just having fun
and making music that people wanna play over and over again
so, rap should be fun, i might get that tattooed on me
