it’s just another day of boredness and moving slow
traffic is backed with tons of students moving to and fro
“take a breather and chill out before you explode”
that’s what i tell myself everyday, it’s the truest told
wish i could say “few is high”, wish i could say “few is low”
some have been fed stupid lies that drugs can somehow soothe the soul
i wonder, for them one day, will the truth unfold?
i pray to myself everyday that they’re not losing hope
but as i’m stuck at this desk getting lectured
i sometimеs hate myself for the alarm on my drеsser
thinking of all the ways my day could go better
i wish this morning that it was snowed weather
can the bell ring already so i can move to the next class
travelled through the building so much, feels like i got jet lag
only got one page of homework, i can respect that
cause i’m not ok with any of these subjects except math

welcome to school, where all your hopes and dreams die
the highest honor you could achieve is making it out alive
word of advice, try to stay on the teachers’ good side
otherwise get left in the bleachers, goodbye!
locker’s on one side, classes on another
messing with the kids, you think that they find it funner
inside the school, best believe there’s a lotta running
“valedictorian” just means that you’re a product of it
you played by all the rules of each and every game
every teacher feels joy when they hear your name
half of the time that’s their highest height of fame
if they don’t peak there, they peak inside an office lane
surrounded by pictures of their family and loved ones
so many files on their hands, takes a week to have one done
wait, where am i going with this? i got lost in thought
well that’s what school does to you; of your brain it costs a lot

7 whole years of my life was wasted
on random nonsense that shouldn’t be explained and
everytime something could be taught basic
they decide to give an overexplanation
calling students “slackers” cause they don’t pay attention
and when they disagree on something, send them to detention
how can you expect for students to get a pension
if you make it hard as possible with all these questions?
i’m not failing my classes or anything
but i know i could do better if you factor in many things:
like actually explaining why any of this matters
instead of forcing us to read dozens of chapters
and copying down questions inside notebooks
give us an “a+”, that means you did so good!
give us a “b”, that means do better, you could!
anything less, be discouraged, you should

the last class of the day is usually the slowest
less than an hour to go, and before you know it
you’re outta school for the weekend cause it’s a friday
like every single day, you’ve had a virtual migraine
spend the next two days resting, it’s a necessity
that is if the teacher didn’t give you a disastrous recipe
or should i say a study guide for a test on monday
have you heard the bible? you’re supposed to rest on sunday
but all these assignments due back soon
might as well spend the rest of my days inside a classroom
cause i can never catch a break from these stacks of paper
don’t know how this’ll help me make stacks of paper
math problems be like “which ax is cheaper”
funny how they never taught me taxes either
a question that i’ve always asked the teachers…
can’t wait to get home and just blast the speakers
