if you looking for part-time work this ain’t for you / even if that kid spends half of that time with you / a father’s work’s not finished when his children aren’t there / he still has the task to constantly be aware / of his actions, things that he does and that he doesn’t do / which affects whether or not he’ll still be able to be / the dad he’s supposed to be, involved and active / which may involve saying naw to things more lucrative / than being present because there’s power in your presence / don’t think you can be absent and make it up with presents / cause things can’t replace you, they were never meant to / it’s gonna take you to lead and guide their mental / and spiritual pursuit toward truth, not the lookalikes / that smell and feel right but they’re wrong cause to live is christ / now is when we’re needed there’s too much on the line / for a father to be anything less than full-time /
