you ain’t perfect
you only see yourself
african black
european black
south american black…
you don’t see it as yours
a struggle the same
a culture the same
the diaspora dies
instead of pouring into pores
a dire sp-wn
or a p-wn knocked off the board…
but maybe that’s because they’ve never seen you
so the world you’ve created
is only your own
solipsistic in its true essence
you are the only thing that exists…
but break down the word
and you’ll see what i’m reaching towards
i want the soul and the lips
of a sis that ticks all boxes
what i’m looking for
etеrnity’s wish list
or a sis who was sold
so her lips created
thе words that are symbols
of time bombs ticking
or how about a sis
whose soles stay moving on the floor
like she shaking off a tic
dotting round like ellipsis…
many meanings
but it all comes back to…
black american pop…
the culture to which i pay tribute
from overcharging others
for what they did to the cold crush
all i have in my art
is the tools to prove
that you all existed
that it’s more than solipsistic…
you are my dream date
dream lover
dream acceptance
my black american pop
demands your affection…
so this album is for you
sent in your direction…
my tribute…
with pure intention
