after the sun dripped deep below the horizon/
i looked up at the night sky,tht the man on the moon brightend/
and i was reminded, of the wishes i masterminded/
the ones hid upon stars, for any future reliance/
it doesn’t take rocket science, to realize this/
was done for times when, the world deprived its/
own clients of an allience with the man in the skys and/
only offered salvation behind diguses of violence/
well i despised this and refused to keep silence/
i spoke defiance to whom organized it, and tried this/
method to re-align it, so bck in my chair reclining, i/
closed my eye lids and saw a mountain, so i climbed it/
i perfectly timed it, and dr eamt of this sh0r- line and/
was then enlighted, as i walked with the lord, in the presence of the finest/
no care about were it is me and the heavenly father went/
ive spent my whole life with him, creating another footprint/

i witnessed flashes in the sky, saw scenes from my life/
in every scene i discovered things tht i never realized/
i looked closer because somethings caught my eye/
impressions in sections that i couldn’t recognize/
these imprints created in the grains of the sand were fine/
with every step i find, another step was uniform with mine/
then in the last scence i took a glance behind my back/
and i saw that the sand had numerous gaps/
where two sets of footprints the sand would lack/
it was only in times when boulders were on my back/
but only when i felt the weakest for a fact/
was when i was vunerable for evil to attack/
when i was down & out was when one set was evident/
walkin with the lord, jus creatin another footprint/

i pondered why was this, so to the lord i opened my lips/
lord, you said once i devoted my life to you, youd open/
many doors and walk with me , but ive noticed/
when my journey got the coldest and times seemed hopeless/
i only witness one set of footprints in the sand when i focus/
i feel like when the goin got ruff yu threw me to the vultures/
im confused cause everyday i recite a scripture/
ima generous tipper and wisdom i whisper/
i use the word to paint my lifes picture/
when my gl-ss is half empty, full was the pitcher/
so i can not logically think/
why you would abondon me/
in this world especially/
when i sought you desperatly, diligently/
considerding all the time that ive spent/
wlkin with the lord creatin one more footprint/

but before i could even finish my inquiry/
the lord spoke up and interupted me/
my precious, precious child please/
kno that i love you unconditionaly/
and to you i would never let anything/
harm you or your well being/
so during your trials and suffering/
when you fall down to your knees
ashes is all you eat as tears mingle in your drink/
and when you look at the sand and all you see/
is one set of footprints wakling strenghfully/
its was then tht you called before me/
crying endlessly in pain to stop the agony/
this is when you grew weak and weak you grew/
it was then that i picked you up and carried you/
footprints…
