i subtracted all the trap, added a soul…as a matter of fact

i wanted to blow, but something said, “wait”

so i followed my instinct
and promised myself i do some grade a things

no one ever told me that this industry could get so ugly
and everybody i know bouta start they freshman semester
said my grades was too low but i ain’t goin’ to everest

whether we like it or not, see we all goin’ to school
some students goin to harvard others enroll in the hard knocks
i had to find out the hard way
stayin home at my moms place
i was makin that minimum wage before ever taking the stage

now i educate the youth
i’m building a squad

the goal is to change and inspire
