i contemplate the purpose of this journey ’til i stopped at dawn to rest upon a hillside, admire the view as tension unties

reminded me of when the white man came and raped the land from the indians to expand their plans of grandeur
so feeling quite disheartened, i walked down further to investigate
see what a mess they made of a land that wasn’t rightfully theirs to desecrate
contractors all about building but need to respect the earth first
so i sat in the path of the tractor and finished writing my verse
it goes
mind to the masses
it’s time for drastic measurements
ever since my hometown turned into a f-cking zoo and no one knew the damage done until looked upon collectively
the mass majority neglect to see at this rate of expansion the planet will be lost to its doom eventually
so essentially what we need to do as the younger generation is make ‘em take into consideration our lack of patience for greedy corporations who judge a person by their wealth
stop trying to change the world and start trying to change yourself
