he submitted in silence. we couldn’t see that the price
of our sin he was carrying. made his soul an offering
faithful to the very end. by his stripes we are redeemed
but don’t misunderstand it, the ending’s inside the text
first he came as a lamb but he’s coming as a lion next

while making division. where he speaks proceeds a sword
on his leg the inscription: king of kings and lord of lords
the end and beginning, a voice like a waterfall
the king is descending majestic and powerful
first time he came as servant, lowly riding on a mule
second time, comes with judgment, setting up his earthly rule

– “messiah ben joseph” or messiah son of joseph speaks of the suffering aspects of messiah’s work according to ancient rabbinic literature based on p-ssages such as isaiah 53
— “messiah ben david” or messiah son of david speaks of the reigning messiah, fulfilled in yeshua’s second coming
