these shows are so different for me and you have to understand why, it’s like, i become a different person when i’m performing these albums
last night we performed badlands in its entirety
i’m gonna tell you what, there’s not a single radio hit on that album and they still sang every f-cking word to every f-cking song
so that means y’all have no excuse tonight!
but when i played badlands it’s like i revert into this sp-ce where i’m angry and i’m not sure what i’m angry about and i’m hungry and i’m questioning and i’m just young young young young… i’m just… so… in that moment when i perform that album
but this one has a much darker story than that one
i find that many people who love hopeless fountain kingdom are people who have been wronged by someone that they loved
if that’s the case, then i want you to leave that on the floor at webster hall tonight
i want you to get it out of your f-cking system!
because whoever that person is who wronged you, they do not deserve your pain!
