deep in the unknown

something strange that just can’t be explained

when something told me that i was not alone
suddenly there i was caught by surprise
the beast it appeared right before my two eyes

in front of me there was a ginormous shape
stood like a man but it looked like an ape
looking back now i get a terrible fright
i saw the monster in the moonlight

i’ll never forget what i saw there that night
something you see get stuck in your mind
my brain said to run, but my body did freeze
i’ll never forget the size of his feet

deep in my soul, i had a terrible hunch
that i had a date with a monster for lunch
i never found out if the hunch was correct
cause something occurred that i did not expect

before i knew what was going on
with a few giant steps, the monster was gone
now i’m not the type not leave someone scared
