the tv show not actual movies
relating the characters
to people we know in real life and
i can’t help but feel like that
that’s the way that we see most people
exaggerated facial features
all blocked in with crudely drawn lines
our dialogue competing
with one another for the most laughs
learning how to live by making sure every sentence
has a punchline
i don’t wanna be liked
i just want to be somebody’s favorite
but am i willing to lose myself
just for some stranger’s approval

“this is gonna sound really weird guys. i don’t–honestly–i don’t think our movies should be watched.”
“they shouldn’t?”
“no.”
“then why are we making them?”
“i–i have–i have no idea why we make them. all i know is this: we keep coming here after school every single day, and we just keep doing it, and i don’t know–and then–and then we just do it–and then i guess it feels like we should just be doing it–i guess i don’t know”
“huh. weird.”
