we’re going to do now something that has nothing to do with an arranged piece of music, or a setup, so far as our attitude is concerned. and uh, while the cats all getting together here, we’re gonna not discuss it, we’re just gonna look at each other and say, “yeah.” it’s like stanislavski preparation, you know.

i tell you what. we’re gonna start out with an ernie watts concept of how to approach playing a ballad. and it will develop into something else that ernie has to say. it will have the same attitude as the ballad thing but it’ll, you know, just grow. and we hope that the whole thing will grow. check.
