a cavernous blackness
approaches me in my dreams
invasive as the high tide fog

immersing all in liquid most foul

i wretch, the poison from me, only to be
submerged once again

hel spit up this unholy sow’s filth
bade us drink deeply, and wholly
i turn sunward and starward
for a path of escape

one star, (silent)
unlike all, (bewildered)
has shone, (reflecting)
more bright, (expecting)
as though, (a vision)
in answer, (a moment)
to my, (that explains)

utmost
to reach
to touch
this brightest of lights
light of thе northern star

see this blight undone
