and that i should be singing about a guitar
but need i remind you of what we are
the emulator 2 team and adrian star
1984 and ’85, these are the years that brought alive
emu2 in the first, then the 2+ to quench your thirst
for a synthesizer greatness that you crave
not just for the sound but the sampling rate
gimme best servant, just let it create
you can even sample sounds from the jupiter 8

no single synth has had more hits
than the emulator 2, i can guarantee this
where would i be without my partner in crime
using some synths like a poser in decline
so before you assume i hook direct to a mac
and program the parts to record the playback
i didn’t do that, my integrity stands
i still play the keys in real with my hands
never before has a cut been made
i bought the emulator 2 for what it could say
no presets built on this thing
use a floppy disc to make it sing
if you can’t handle what it brings
just fake everything like it’s 2016

now though my second album might be causing a fuss
my third next album will be called the 2+
now everyone knows and they won’t soon forget
