my requiem
looks like the weaker s-x is the only one to have survived
running through this maze, this metal tomb
the face half burnt by the blood of my enemies
machine gun spitting fire
grenades blowing everything away
android’s head hanging around my belt, cursing me

the auto-destruction alarm rings loudly
a countdown to pyrrhic victory
i heard like a hundred screams
they understood
the worst awaits me
will i be able to reach the еscape pods ?
an atmosphere of thе end of the world reigns
survivors going out their shelters
rats trying to leave the ship
i see them getting hunt down by these insectoid predators
some of them sacrifice their own mates to survive
it’s not a massacre, but a feast

at the very moment to get in
a blast blew everything away

my vision gets lost in infinite blackness
a deadly silence reigns
in this realm of nothingness
my body feels the absence of gravity
i see the hull of the disemboweled ship
a breath of fire and light springs from this gaping wound
like a newborn sun
the nightmare is washed away
finally, i find myself curled up on the floor
tetanized and eyes riveted on this spectacle
i am drawn from my morbid reverie by a detail
why does pods still eject from the vessel?
