the first noel the angels did say
was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay;
in fields where they lay keeping their sheep
on a cold winter’s night that was so deep

then they did know -ssuredly
within that house, the king did lie
one entered in then for to see
and found the babe in poverty

then entered in those wise men three
full reverently, upon bended knee
and offered there, in his presence
their gold and myrrh and frankincense

if we in our time do well
we shall be free from death and h-ll
for god hath prepared for us all
a resting place in general
