the decidedly short epic of mr. alvira
mr. alvira wakes to his only day (there ticks a clock, beneath the moss.)
a smoke, some coffee, he thinks it’s still ok (a wounded sunrise hung upon a cross.) mr. alvira picks up the morning bus. (green and dark. no spark. there never was.) it picks him up; he rides along with us. (a pink cocoon, lost in the shadows.)
the foreman shays h-llo, he’s gone. o mister alvira. you walk past your meaning of life
we’ve run by each other and not seen a thing
mr. alvira lies in his bed. (the clock has stopped; the moss is dead.)
his face is worn by paths where he was led. (thеre’s one more placе he hasn’t fled.) we might say h-llo again. o mister alvira. you walk past your meaning of life
we’ve run by each other and not seen a thing
