so then these lads they’d found the light
and went right up the stairs-o
they took the old woman right out of her bed
and laid her naked on the floor

up spoke john blunt, “you’ve eaten me meat, me wife is on the floor-o”
“ha! you’ve spoke the first word, john blunt,” he said “now go down and bar the door-o”
