letra de motherhood - slimes souls
intro
we’re on your unloved turf
all because of birth
you’re writing another book
to motherhood
hook
we’re entering another world
there’s a new meaning to motherhood
verse one
there’s a new term in question
the scriptures have got new sections
the mirrors are reflecting new light
people want to be seen
and using inclusive terms confirms you recognize their movements
but that doesn’t mean your themes and schemes have to be rewritten
not all biological women, feel like women
but some biological man do
i understand you
struggle understanding this conversation
it all feels so d-mn new
but there’s a picture i want to be painting
to understand all of this, you need to understand what a mother is
hook
we’re entering another world
there’s a new meaning to motherhood
verse two
what is a mother?
a mother is
someone who helps her child through suffering
a mother is someone who will help kids through the struggling
who will go against the government
for her kid, should stand with her kid in punishment
when it comes to her kid, she should also grow up with them
regardless of wealth, the kid should live in luxury
a mother should always look after the child’s health, and make sure they’ve got stuff to eat
a mother should help a kid explore and support their discoveries
a mother always puts a kid first, like my mother has always done for me, luckily
considering what some mothers be
doing and in summary
those aren’t mums to me
they’re ugly
birth givers
the worse in here
and that’s not downplaying birth
it’s taking a wonderful title away from an abuser
to understand that, you have to understand birth
but hopefully you now know not all mothers are in the future
hook
we’re entering another world
there’s a new meaning to motherhood
verse three
what is birth?
birth is the most beautiful and magical thing on earth
giving birth is doing god’s work
you’ll never see something more godlike than when a baby comes and enters this world
even with the pain, you only feel love in your brain
even if the baby isn’t yours love still pours into your heart
you have that superhero arc
anyone who gives birth, should be put on a pedestal
because what they do is incredible
their the heroes that earth, doesn’t deserve
but even the women that don’t give birth
are also heroes that we don’t deserve
because they’re raising us
we should be praising them
we should respect all women
because not everyone can give birth
and not everyone can look after the kid once they do
so we should have an inclusive point of view
for these bio women as well as trans
because birth and motherhood depends on circumstance
hook
we’re entering another world
there’s a new meaning to motherhood
verse four
as beautiful as birth is
given it doesn’t automatically make you a mother
think about the wording
that can help support each other
you can give birth to kids
just to abuse them
to hit and smack
to give attacks
to make them bleeding
to not feed them
just to neglect them
to not respect them
to not love them unconditionally
that not what a mother should be
and a mother should never stand by the dad
when he attacks
or leaves bruises
or is abusive
or worse
a mother should always put the kid first
you’re not a mother just because you gave birth
there’s such thing as surrogates
they’re as empowering as suffragettes
to me, they’re so powerful
what they do is remarkable
they go above and beyond
they’re heaven sent, directly from god
but they’re still not the kids mum
but they’re more than just birth givers
they’re living heroes
same with those that adopt
they didn’t give birth, but they’re still the kids mum
and they may not have birthed the kid, but they’re still the mum
because their the ones raising the kid that’s growing up
so we have have to be more cautious
for those adopting
for those carrying a child
because they too would like different terms and words to make them smile
so, regardless of those who are trans
it comes down to circumstance
some people don’t deserve the mother title
especially when they’re not their child’s idols
but more so their child’s revivals
but adoptive mothers deserve to be called mothers
women are beautiful, but they’re not all mothers
some just can’t do it
and don’t want a part of the movement
so they give their child to those who want to
in this situation, what woman is wearing the “mum’s shoes”?
now these women who chose to give their kid up are still wonderful
because their doing the best for their kid while helping those who can’t have them at all
so they should be called heroes a long with surrogates
but when a child is taken away due to suffering
that woman isn’t capable of mothering
so she is a birth giver
the same way an abusive dad is a sperm giver
and yes, these terms can be demeaning
but if trans people still want to be called it after knowing what the theme is
they should be allowed to be called what they want
but still we shouldn’t remove the word mother or mum
we don’t have to turn two to one
all of this
can co exist
hook
we’re still in the same world
but there’s still a new meaning to motherhood
outro
but times change
and that isn’t for the worse
everyone prefers different names
so just use the terms
preferred by each person
then motherhood will stop burning
and in some eyes, be returning
