played some ball, used rollerskates

but all would change one fateful day
his membership expired, oh what a sham
he threw in the towel, didn’t give two d-mns!
he moved from his mum’s place, to an apartment
and, f-ck it, it felt more like a compartment
adopted a dog, overfed it to death
and now he’s drunk and high on meth
he held a stint eating kilos of jelly
oh, my grandma, what large potbelly
you have! you’re fat! i’d add, it’s not all bad
because then he moved to africa, to chad!
but, joey, at this point you may as well die
of diabetes or drowning, or suicide

and didn’t get money from any townsfolk
you see joey here now was very much broke
and despite all his begging and pleading for cash
all members of town just left in a flash
this left joey distressed, as you would
even the rope he tied felt misunderstood
joey, these days, lives alone in the slums
and all who see him think he’s a bum
he spends his time with a broken oboe
and those who see him still call him a hobo!
