beauty is god’s glory and creativity made observable in through his creation. everything from the galaxies to the plants and animals down to our molecular structure is the lord’s work of art. but within the context of this alb-m, we’re referring to the natural talents we’re all born with and the spiritual gifts given when the believer is born again. however, the talents in and of themselves are not beautiful neither the spiritual gifts without virtue because they were intended to be used with the same purpose the rest of the creation holds: glorifying the creator. plus with language being part of the talent, there becomes a greater capacity for more explicit truths and expressions, so when the intentions are fleshy, the ugliness is amplified. therefore, we strive to avoid the temptation to exalt ourselves in our lyrics and approve ourselves to be the illest. instead, we see how jesus in submission to the father and by means of the holy spirit performed miraculous acts of beauty and attempt to follow in his example as well as taking the creative works of the bible like the psalms as god’s blueprint, hoping to express explicitly and amplify virtuously that same beauty
