the gales have calmed—
transformed into the breezes
the waves are still crashing
but gently
the benign song of wind—
glides through the sand
and dance with the leaves

i lie down like a velella—
marooned on the shore
under the cosmic canvas—
my eyes linger
thousands of twinkles
whispers of distant dreams
it reminds me of the glowing plankton—
their blue light—
shimmering in the waves
beneath the moonshine
should i call the stars
celestial plankton?
i think it’s cute—
and fits the beach vibe
lovely creatures—
so small, yet so bright
i have always wanted to be an artist
but as the years passed—
it became an alien dream
i hate my voice, my mind
and most of all—
my body
i feel like a hermit crab—
imprisoned in a sh-ll—
built from expectations—
and imposed ideals
