letra de tree - new bloods
[spoken]
there was an old tree, rooted in the dirt. there for hundreds of years, along with other trees. it blew in the wind, every day
(i dont know what)
some leaves blew away and moved on and branches broke throughout the years. this is a story about the branches of that tree. always, always as beautiful just like the others. it can see the same view as the others. about the sky that went for miles
one day a very still tree that was closest to the branch asked the other, dont you ever get bored? sitting to the same thing every day? same sight of birds drifting when blowing and other animals when looking at us. dont you wanna be free?
(not a cloud in the sky)
the whole tree except for the branch always said, we are free. we live longer than most anything, we grow and die and given so many creatures life and air
but always said no im sick of this
.
(stuck)
im stuck here i want to be free
(still we love)
the branch repeated these words every single day
(i just asked what)
it saw the tree to its side die from the same sorrow and yet it still yearned for the freedom it already had
(but im stuck)
as the years passed all of its leaves blew away and it began to rot. it was consumed
the rest of the tree that wasn’t there anymore, felt the branch die and hurting. they tried to save it but it was too late. its freedom blew away and rotted because of lack love for itself
the branch broke off [?] and blew away. the tree couldn’t help [?]. the following day a bright green leaf grew out of the same spot always used to be
(not a cloud in our sky)
it said what a beautiful day
