ext- a vibrant college campus in spring. students in an open courtyard
close-up of the boy walking. he spots a familiar face. it’s the freckle-faced boy who used to give him a hard time in high school. he fl!cks his wrist and the freckled boy’s feet sweep out from under him, sending him into the pavement. passing students point and laugh. the freckled boy is red in the face, grimacing in pain
it dawns on the boy that this did not feel as good as he had antic-p-ted it would. the fantasy of revenge was sweeter than the reality of inflicting real pain
checking to make sure no one is looking, the boy floats up to the roof of a campus building. he watches the other students walking below him. some with friends, some holding the hands of lovers. but not the boy, because he’s special. he’s better. he’s…he’s miserable. he can barely look at himself in the mirror. he’d gladly trade his powers for some semblance of peace
