& commercial consumption

we suffer for a life
we deem romantic

with myths unstable

and i have chose to be sweet
to resist all the forces
that would like to paint my heart weak
i am sweet in my anger
and sweet in my rage
its my strength, see?
i am not broken or yielding
my warmth can be searing
though i can be miserable
it is resistible

the political nature of my own affect is daunting
prescriptions abounding
pathologization is haunting
it stabs at my gender
but can’t pin it down
its beyond rating
and the forces of history and social control
tug my heartstrings

and it is miserable
internalized trouble

i can grow militant
in the ways im a lover
with the passion of war
i have chose to be tender
in defense of autonomy
in defense of our right
to make shelter
against the tyranny
of the dominant order
