we suffer upon the sh0r-s before rolling back to the sea
and your sh0r- that breaks all form
is the same sh0r-line that shapes each beginning
when i awoke your side of the bed was made
you were long gone as if on the ebb tide of a sea

never mind the garbage you left behind
forget the direction that you’re traveling
more haunting has been the silence the silence of solitaire
and to you i could become as light as nothing at all

and the garbage dump is nearly full
and your closet’s all but empty
though i have some pictures of you on the wall
your beauty is dimmed and you smile has lost its bite

like a requiem for the trash
remembrances linger casting long shadows
just like your side of the bed still accosts to your warmth
and the dead can not arise again
and your side of the bed shall forever remain unmade
