i got my shot
thought i was safe

now i’m alone in my room
just starin at my phone
and when i leave i get to wear my d-mn mask everywhere

i got my results and i’m not sick
but the rest of my fam is
still have to wear a mask everywhere
wish this would stop
felt fine for a couple days
then i felt it
exhaustion like a blankеt
a heavyness is my chest

still don’t have it
wait a minute
what did i feel then?

i was scared
scared i had it
scared i got it from my fam
and gave it to my friends

i was tired
exhausted from school
exhausted from life
i couldn’t stay awake

and i couldn’t breathe
i thought it was covid
but was it really just me?
that’s it
i had a panic attack
that’s what this virus did to me
it gave me anxiety

made it so i couldn’t sleep
made it so i was constantly scared
constantly worried
now i’m saying f-ck you
why won’t you go away

i thought i was safe
but i guess i was wrong
thought i could live without the fear
