don’t see the rotting that’s going on inside
i have a picture of you in my mind

i never see i had a problem then
others thought it was a cycle that would never end
wasn’t living full stop let alone living for the weekend
i was on my own daily
content with my own company
not really tryina be around my friends
they like rounds and that means parting with my money, i ain’t on the same vibe as them
i’m hiding bottles of vossy
locking myself away
consumed by sad songs
waking up the next day to repeat again

i’m not the only one
they say show me your friеnds i’ll tell you who you are
im too introvertеd now and we’re all worlds apart
a select few who i kept close
our common factors at the bottom of a glass
drunken heart to hearts plastered
confused as to why it’s always us
trying to mask up them scars
but dunno when enough’s enough
always taking it too far
end up wrecked like a crashed car
the worst part our lives ain’t even hard
the last year i’ve known 2 people who passed away due to alcohol abuse
so what we do?
have a little drink up, here’s a toast to you
and come to think about it it’s kinda disrespectful
so never underestimate the
predictability, of stupidity
we shoulda learned a thing or two but we never do
so i’m no one to take literal, i’m still not t-total
baby steps
battling myself
because it’s still a struggle
