i found myself at night, walking through the deep, dark forest. when i suddenly came across a pearl i found on the floor. out of curiosity, i picked it up. it was very light, practically weightless. it was smooth and shiny and seemed to be wrapped in some sort of sticky rice paper. i carefully took it apart, and passed my thumb through it to rid it of any residue. it had a marble-like aspect, but it was soft to the touch
it was beautiful, yet i could never quite put into words how beautiful it looked. it looked very much like the skin of a b-tterfly. in the sun i could see its grainy texture of it in the sunlight. thе grain had a pearl color, and the entirе mass seemed to glisten, as if it were wet. it was like a stone that had a thin film of water on it. i took the pearl inside a fold of my shirt and put it in my shirt pocket. there was nothing else about the pearl that seemed extraordinary. it was very plain. i felt like i could give it to someone if i found the right person, but i did not seem to have the right person. the texture was almost like glass and i felt as if i should offer the pearl to someone with a glass collection
