dr. stanton: alright, with that cleared out of the way, let’s move on to the next order of business
dr. hassinger: well, doctor faulmino recently discovered that when he—
dr. simmons: phineas needs to get out of here!
dr. stanton: what?
dr. wheeler: yeah! he’s a big problem around here!
dr. campbell: he can’t be trusted anymore!
dr. stanton: hold on-
dr. simmons: he keeps babbling on about some invasion!
dr. wheeler: he thinks we’re all in some kind of danger
dr. simmons: he keeps calling us idiots and fools for not beliеving him!
dr. stanton: okay, hold on just a minute! what’s going—
dr. vorbeck: but what about evеrything he’s done for this company?
dr. simmons: that doesn’t matter anymore! he’s lost his mind now!
dr. vorbeck: just a week ago, he conducted a large and conclusive study on radioactive substances
dr. campbell: as if we need a guy like him around radiation
dr. wheeler: how do you think he got so crazy?
dr. vorbeck: without him, we all would’ve died years ago in the war! it’s because of him that it’s over
dr. simmons: he wasn’t the only one on that team!
dr. wheeler: yeah, dr. hassinger did just as much research and made as many discoveries as he did!
dr. hassinger: well, it was indeed a team effort. but dr. eschelman made many discoveries that made everything possible
dr. simmons: made what possible? the deaths of thousands at the hands of your bombs?
dr. vorbeck: well, all those bombs are out of commission now
dr. faulmino: he doesn’t seem to think so
dr. stanton: what?
dr. faulmino: he keeps saying that we’re going to be invaded and he’s going to use his bombs to save us
dr. stanton: well, he kinda did back in the war
dr. simmons: but that was 17 years ago! he seems to think that it’s all happening again
dr. stanton: well, maybe he’s just reliving some memories. that’s pretty normal for someone involved in war
dr. hassinger: i know he felt lots of guilt after they used our bomb. it ate him up and ripped him apart
dr. simmons: then someone like that shouldn’t be allowed to work around such dangerous chemicals! what if he goes berserk and blows something up?!
dr. vorbeck: and why would he do that? he knows what he’s working with. he’s not an idiot
dr. simmons: just because he used to be a brilliant scientist doesn’t mean he can’t go crazy and lose control and k!ll all of us
dr. stanton: well, i guess he could become somewhat of a threat
dr. wheeler: somewhat? i’ll say he’s a threat! two weeks ago, he said that there was the sound of gunshots on the horizon! i told him there wasn’t, and he said i’d die in the fire for my ignorance!
dr. faulmino: he told me that i needed to help him prepare another bomb to drop on the invading—
dr. simmons: and you’re just going to let that kind of guy work in our lab?!
dr. stanton: well, i-
dr. vorbeck: as long as we keep an eye on him, he shouldn’t—
dr. wheeler: we shouldn’t have to keep an eye on him! he should be able to do his job with—
dr. vorbeck: he does his job just as well as anyone here!
dr. wheeler: -without posing a threat to us
dr. campbell: he’s too unstable! he can’t be trusted!
dr. simmons: does anyone here feel safe when he’s around?
dr. vorbeck: well, i certainly don’t mind—
dr. simmons: does he ever make you uncomfortable, dr. vorbeck? def doesn’t answer. does it ever bother you? the way he just- talks to himself?
dr. vorbeck: plenty of normal people talk to themselves
dr. simmons: about a war that ended 17 years ago as if it’s just starting now?
dr. vorbeck: well, he still hasn’t harmed anyone or posed a serious threat-
dr. campbell: it’ll just keep getting worse!
dr. wheeler: yeah, he didn’t used to be this bad. he’s just gotten worse over the past few months
dr. faulmino: and who’s to say it won’t stop there? what if he really does try to make another bomb?
dr. wheeler: i’ve heard him mutter to himself about how we’re all fools and that he’s the only one who has the power and knowledge to save us
dr. campbell: he’s always thought highly of himself, even before all this started
dr. wheeler: he never seems to consider that maybe he’s the crazy one and not the rest of us! he can’t even recognize his hallucinations for what they are anymore!
dr. simmons: he ought to be put in an asylum!
dr. faulmino: yeah!
dr. simmons: it’s the only place for someone like him!
dr. faulmino: that’s a lot safer for everyone than a lab full of explosive chemicals
dr. vorbeck: but think of all the further research he could do and all the discoveries he could make!
dr. simmons: and what if he k!lls us in the process?
dr. campbell: he’s too big of a liability
dr. stanton: agreed. i’ll talk to him tomorrow and i’ll refer him to the local mental hospital. this has gone on for too long and i think it’s time that he get moved. he can no longer be trusted here. any objections?
