i see a few rocks have been spit out on the shore

you just shook your head
and i think what you meant was
i really won’t miss you at all

so you clogged the toilet
and i’ll try my best
to erase the part of myself that
wants to say, “so you did it again?”
so grab the plunger, we’ll do it together

i can’t sleep because it started to rain and
it’s been so long that i’d like to hear every drop

so we went jogging

when we were kids
i ran and got you a bandaid when you fell and scr-ped your knee
i hope that’s who i really am
