letra de intro - j the producer
[announcer]
and i introduce to you guys, j the producer:
[j: spoken word]
thank you. thank you–you guys are kind, man. aight, y’all guys can stop, y’all can stop, y’all can stop. have a seat, just–have a seat. i wanna talk to you guys right quick. first of all, i wanna thank y’all for inviting me to be able to speak here before you all. and as the announcer said, they call me j the producer. music producer, songwriter, artist. a lot of you in the audience today have been following me and my music and my career for a while. those of you that know my backstory know that i used to be in a cult. i used to be in a cult within the black hebrew israelite movement. can’t specifically call it that i was a part of — there’s many camps. but the one i was specifically a part of, called israel united in christ–iuic–one of the more prestigious of the black hebrew israelite schools within the movement. and at that time, as you guys can probably see, i didn’t know christ. all i was concerned about was skin color, my own ability to try to keep the mosaic law to inherit the kingdom of heaven, the twisting of scriptures, secluding or excluding people from being able to enter into the kingdom of heaven, because i just felt they needed to be judged for what took place during the trans-atlantic slave trade. that they didn’t deserve any mercy from god like god showed me mercy when i didn’t deserve it. it was, deep down, hatred, bitterness, and a want for revenge. and there’s so much i can run down; i can run down a whole list of things that was twisted and that was false. there was a false gospel that was being preached–that only blacks, hispanics, or native americans, who we claimed were the israelites, could sin. they’re the only ones that could sin, because the laws was only given to them. therefore, jesus only died for their sins–or our sins–therefore leaving the other nations basically hopeless and that they were gonna be our slaves in the kingdom. those of you that followed my music, specifically when i did an alb-m called _ties n fringes,_ you guys remember a song when i used to sing and it’d go like that:
[song clip]
_”whoa-oa, all these other nations, they will be your slaves”_
[j: spoken word]
but i’m here to tell you guys, you brothers, that this is not the gospel. to avoid it lest you corrupt yourself. forgive me for even spreading it because at that time i was blind. but the lord had mercy on me and brought me out of that movement, brought me out of that cult into the light of his true gospel and into the knowledge of his son jesus christ of nazareth–or, as many call him, yeshua–that he is god manifest in the flesh, that he is yahweh the word. that salvation comes through him alone–not of works, lest any man should boast, and that salvation is open for all nations of the earth, fulfilling the promise given to abraham in genesis 22 and 18. there’s so much i can go over with you guys, but i don’t have enough time here and i want us to get into the program. but i want you brothers and sisters to forgive me for spreading that false gospel, that false doctrine. give thanks unto the lord who opened my eyes and brought me out of that cult. and i guess you guys can refer to that time as the “bc — before christ,” right? but this right here–this right here, brothers and sisters, this is the “ad.”
