i was leaving from the arcade
after a few rounds of galaga and hanging around with friends
but as i was walking home
passing by some woodsy area
there was this suv
that i could tell was following me
i was just trying to get home
i wasn’t far, i could see it off in the distance
they slowed down on the road
i saw a glimpse of that man behind the wheel
his hair was unkempt
and he had some weird mechanic getup
i stared at the car for only a second
before i sprinted to the woods
i prayed that he wasn’t going to come after me
i hid under a tree for minutes end
trying to catch my breath, but be quiet at the same time
time felt like it crawled
and when i regained my composure
i walked out of the woods to see he was gone
so i then sprinted on home

i know about the disappearances
i don’t want to be the next one
i told my parents and they had me give a description
to some officers that were investigating the missing cases
and i’ve been paranoid ever since
always looking over my shoulders
in fear that he’ll be there again
i don’t want to disappear
but he could be anywhere
what if he’s around the corner
and they haven’t caught him yet
