all souls are blessed in death
the scythe that stalks the fields
descends to pierce thy flesh

but i beheld the ravens return
their secrecies bestowed unto me

crimson pyres alight inside
but from the oceans in my eyes
moonlight beams glimmer and guide

when the blackened earth burns bright
and the eyes of eternity gleam
remember the spiralling shadows
and the withered roses scream
dressed in darkness and encircled by oak
here where streams of the sky burn black
i view the sun cast it’s shadow on the earth
and the martyrdom’s scars that mark thy back
i could catch the sunlight
in the palm of my bare hands
i could hang a th-rn-bearing noose
from the edge of the sky
cast into open flame
as the source of all shame
the forest dead above
where maggots voice their love
there is no ground known to you
but i shall trace the tattered aether
and the sadness infesting my heart
falls to decaying soil like feathers
i watch your effigy across the sky
your love burns in every sunset
yet the glorious withering is nigh
for you are my soul cherished death
between rotting trees – you found me
in the waves of the sea – you drowned me
