brand new notebook, college ruled trim
there he goes writing boy, yeah that’s him
since i’ve been writing, i’ve been eating man
so i keep on writing ’till it hurts my hand
freshman fifteen with no meal plan
pencil so sharp, shakespeare can’t stop me
counting money now, so they wanna copy
my knock out hits, landing them like rocky
can i now talk a little bit about poetry
i don’t advise you to use grammarly
just let your thoughts come naturally
haiku in english, that’s just three lines
you should write one of those from time to time
let’s talk about sonnets, free and blank verse
short story’s, novels and essay work

past participle, a form of a verb
just add -ed, and there’s your word
present participle, a form of a verb
add -ing and there’s your word
present perfect tense, irregular verbs
past tense consequence of future words
verbs come in past tense, present and future
this is grammar and i’m your teacher
the present is perfect, and sometimes simple
one example: i write every day
present continuous is the same way
add -ing and say it that way
past irregular tense: he built a fence
past perfect tense: he had a rest
future has four tenses, it’s easy to learn
use we and shall, the helping verbs

the future is simple, and so is the past
