letra de dark side of my mind - dash-n
[verse 1]
he’s back again
back at the door
i have to let him in
can’t keep him out anymore
i don’t know how it came to this
but i swear it is k!lling me
please meet my new best friend
his name is me
[chorus]
and he’s always there
telling me i can’t go on
he says no one will ever care
that i’d be better off dead and gone
[verse 2]
i really cannot stand this guy who always tries to mess me up
i try to write words down but he is distracting, i’m messing up
i’m stressing out, i’m giving up, i hate this sound, i have no luck
i’m sick as heck, and i’m tired of this, when morning comes, i’ll try new stuff
but when i open my eyes, he’s right there and ready to bother me
he’s always mean and i think that’s odd, but can i say something odder, please?
i don’t think he means it, but whether or not, he never says an apology
and as much distress as he causes me, when i think on it, it appalls me
i try my tricks i’ve done before, i lash out, and he bleeds, i hurt him
but he soon comes back for more, back to be his normal burden
while i’m working, he’s lurking, getting ready to inflict more hurting
rush home, lock the door, close the curtain, but he’s already inside, i’m certain
i go to my room to write more words, and sure enough, from right behind me
the voice, saying “you have no talent, you might as well just give up trying”
his words are something that i’m buying, and i’m paying the price, ching
my friends tell me my stuff is good, but the voice tells me that they are lying
[chorus]
and he’s always there
telling me i can’t go on
he says no one will ever care
that i’d be better off dead and gone
