and realised they’d betrayed the code
of practicing ethically

they swore they’d learn some sk!lls
to finally help the folks they’d harmed
wish shock and restrain and with pills

then one by one they all began
to weep and sob and and cry
and confess their flimsy research shams
and pharmaceutical ties

and instead of giving orders like
the gods from up above
they opened up their hearts and minds
and finally learnt to love
