[verse 1]
god standeth in the gods’ assembly
and judgeth aright among the gods
how long will ye unjustly judge
partial to the wicked ones?

[verse 2]
give justice to the fatherless
defend the weak, and poor ones, too
and rescue from the wicked’s hand
the weak and needy, destitute

[verse 3]
they knoweth not, won’t understand;
in blackest darkness they walk on
and the foundations of the earth
out of their course have surely gone

[verse 4]
i said that ye are gods, the sons
of god most high, ye all
ye nonetheless like men shall die
and like unto a prince shall fall

[verse 5]
arise, o god, and judge the earth;
for thine inheritance
shall be the nations, every one
the nations all are thy bequest
