to leave iceland was very big decision to me
pride, mission, to london
i became an icelandic immigrant in england
conscious decision

when i start audition for my band
i found myself after watching many hundreds of people play with a group of immigrants
iran, india, turkey, sydney
and all these people were very proud of where they come from
obsessed, the youth downs culture

when i do my album it was very much a collection
of the songs i’ve written in private
for the last tеn years
like pure
so whеn i start to organise, to play the songs live
i know straight ahead that it has to be something completely different
solid, percussion, trust eachother

i knew immediately that the people i had to find
first i thought about fifteen had to be musically from all sort of different direction
it took a while for all these people to melt togheter
because they were almost of puritanist
in what music they like
working 24 hour spontaneous togheter
and for us to come from such different culture
and from such different musical style too
it was very fascinating

lyric in two different languages is never the same
i start in icelandic and i juggle it into english
and back and forth, and back and forth, and back and forth
and then in the end of the tour very independent lyric that are very different but they focus on the same emotion
