today- this day in may- we are going to celebrate
therefore these lines to the true heroes i dedicate
those who fought & died & gave their life- to liberate
those are the ones we all remember & commemorate
men & women, you saved the world, didn’t hesitate
you were thrown into war, no time to premeditate
bless the honorable & great, victory is your fate
yet some still question your cause and speculate
not knowing that the truth you cannot renovate
a good heart will weep & relate, while haters hate
downplay your sacrifice, claim you came to devastate
enemies worried and weary when they see the parade

i respect those who compromise to live in peace
of course, life is precious, we all want a piece
yet history only respects him who rises against enemies
he who ‘rather dies on his feet than lives on his knees’
respect & honor is not given, it’s something you earn
ready to pay a price, willing to see your dreams burn
deadly sacrifice, it’s on us, we must never return
to the times- where innocent kids would yearn
for better lives –— so live and learn
life’s a lesson & history merely its expression
one question- how come you all lost the essence
since inc writes history, a pen is a mighty weapon

all hail fearless freedom fighters around the globe
walk with peace- in you we place our trust & hope
whether warrior or writer without you we won’t win
might look alike, but nothing will be like it’s been
or will it, cuz i smell death & destruction in the wind
your legacy lives on, even when you are buried & gone
the struggle doesn’t stop, the next generations carry on
hurray- today we celebrate, victory day, so don’t mourn
