i was in my english 1
when i got my final scores
and even though great isn’t how i’ve done
i still know what i’m doing though
i end up being the head of the company
that i’ve owned
and it’s funny cause i never had experience
plus the grades that were low

and the kids that got better than me
made grades their reality
still work at a fast food chain
and that’s insane
but they had the exam scores
that mensa would let them in
but life is so much more
than how well you did

it’s crazy how you can have as
but don’t know what you’ll be doing always
and you end up in a spot you hate
cause you never thought about your own place
i still think education is a must
you don’t forget what you’re doing after you throw your hat up
cause you can get lost without knowing
after the party’s gone
where are you going

get into a hobby
and be well rounded
don’t forget about the grades
but know where you’re going
cause you could go crazy
if you don’t have a plan
for where you’re heading
this you have to understand

know your way
before you have the grades
