and hard drives whirring endlessly, into cacophony
day by day, i stay, staring at the crt
arranged in the display are hypnotizing blues and greens
i feel her, in my face, telling me to find my peace
in this confusing place

i can’t fall into their world
flash’s flashy flashing sites
the sights i see pull me in closer
“here is where you’ll start your new life.”
connected with the unknown
by phylloxera-plagued hills
a wireless hallucination
“i’ve everything to be your new home.”
“give into the one thing you need.”
memories thrown into a .zip archive
replaced this asinine life
with code and programs leading me into insanity
what’s going on here? walk right past the traffic cones
to what seems much more clear, a universe made out of code
and shared from peer to peer, files to feel less alone
to come for years and years!

antivirus, save me from
the worm flowing in my veins
a hypnosis just like no other

the power that lies within it
all waits under my fingertips-

a universe as real as coffee, entrancing synthetically
thousands of pages of what you would never believe
